Manu Dibango is known for uniting peoples of different continents through his rhythmic Makossa Afro Jazz. Obviousely that’s the reason he was awared in 2004 by the UNESCO as “Artist for the Peace”.
In September 2017 Manu Dibango – the King of Makossa – performed a “sold out to the last seat” event during the “Herbstgold” Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria …
… at the charming Castle of Esterházy …
in the beautiful “Haydn hall”.

With “Douala Serenade” Manu Dibango captured the audience at once.

The excellent musicians of the band Soul Makossa gave him the best company.

The performance offered a marvellous intermixture of African and Jazz music.

Manu Dibango entertained with his special humor and eloquence …..

Besides the typical beats of Makossa and Afro Jazz there where also some Latin Jazz, Reggae and folkloristic elements of Argentina and Cameroon.

After 90 minutes Manu Dibango made everybody dancing in the hall.

Manu Dibango performed at this beautiful venue of the Castle of Esterházy at Eisenstadt, Austria on September 15, 2017.
